The Venue
Eleanor’s is owned and operated by a 5th generation working farm.
Located only 25 miles south of Topeka, it offers many opportunities to have a wedding, special event, or night away in a rural atmosphere.
There are several spaces you can reserve for your event:

-Reception area is 3,400 square feet
-Accommodates approximately 200 guests
-18’ ceilings with pre-hung lights for a beautiful ambiance at night
-Floor to ceiling windows that allow guests to enjoy the farm views
-Two large barn doors allow for more open space and extra outdoor accessibility, if desired

-The barn is only available between July and December, due to agriculture use
-Located at 335 W. 189th St. Scranton, KS 66537, conveniently located ¼ mile off 75 hwy, and ½ mile from Eleanor’s Farmstead & Outdoor Ceremony Location
-Outdoor ceremony accommodates 200 people
-Surrounded by beautiful walnut trees and small walking trail to parking area
-Patio lights hang from the trees for a cozy atmosphere
-Fire pit and wood benches are available in this space, for non-wedding events
-Old woodshop converted into space for:
-Small receptions, Groom’s room, birthday parties, workshops—you name it!
-Wood pellet stove keeps space warm in winter
-Restroom is located in the farmhouse
-Quaint farmhouse, just a few steps away from The Tree Grove and Smith Shop
-Features dining room, kitchen, sitting room, living room, 1 full bathroom, 2 bedrooms
-Great place for bridal party to get ready prior to wedding
-Also available for overnight stay for wedding couple or out of town guests
Do you charge a damage deposit?
Yes. Deposits are required and will be fully refunded after the event, if the facilities are in the same condition prior to rental.
Do you supply tables and chairs?
We have a limited number of tables and chairs that can be used upon request, for an additional fee.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are allowed. You will be responsible for the removal of animal waste and any damage the animal may cause.
Do you allow fireworks/sparklers?
We allow sparklers but bigger fireworks must be approved with the staff.
How late can we stay?
We ask that the music stops at 10:00 pm and all guests leave no later than 10:30 pm.
Is the barn climate controlled?
The barn is heated but not cooled. The 2 large barn doors can add air circulation in the heat of the summer.

Eleanor's Events
Established in 2019, two neighbor women are renovating a farmstead - Eleanor's - that dates back to the 1900s. Eleanor's offers a place to host events that embrace the simple farm life and good ol' fashioned fun.
